Description of practice and location


The practice currently has 5 GP partners and 4 salaried GP’s

There are 3 nurses that cover both sites and 1 health care assistant.


The current patient list size is approximately 9813 (as of 04/07/2020)


The practice premises are formed from two different sites.


Broomhill Surgery is a large converted terraced property situated on Lawson Road in Broomhill, Sheffield.

The surgery is on three levels; the ground floor consists of a large waiting area, reception area, 2 consulting rooms, a treatment room, disabled toilet, and a second patient toilet. The first floor contains 3 further consulting rooms, a general office and a staff toilet. The second floor has a clerical office, practice managers office, a staff kitchen and a staff toilet.


We have a small car park at the front of the practice for staff and disabled parking.

We do have wheel chair access and in line with the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 we have made reasonable adjustments to allow access to disabled people.

 

Lodge Moor Surgery is a building that has been converted from two adjacent properties on Blackbrook Road in Lodge Moor, Sheffield.

The Practice has a General Medical Services contract with the local health organisation and offers directly and locally enhanced services to its patients.



Our Aims and Objectives


 The practices holds a General Medical Services Contract with the local health organisation.

 We endeavour to provide a high standard of patient centred care.

 We work closely within a multi-disciplinary team to provide a wide range of direct and locally enhanced services to our patients.

 We aim to provide healthcare which is accessible and tailored specifically to meet the needs of our patient population.

 We aim to be responsive to patient feedback by actively engaging with our patients through the patient participation group, Friends and Family Test and regular patient satisfaction questionnaires.

 We aim to provide safe and effective, evidence-based healthcare.

 We aim to work closely with our partners in the Sheffield Clinical Commissioning Group and practices within the West Locality Group.

 We aim to adhere to all aspects of Clinical Governance.

 We aim to reduce clinical risk and carry out regular audits to ensure efficient and safe clinical care and update and maintain our practice policies and protocols.

 We aim to provide a positive working environment and encourage professional development for all our staff including structured educational events, clinical and multidisciplinary meetings and staff appraisal.

 We aim to continue to provide undergraduate student teaching and training in association with Sheffield Medical School
