Counselling Services (Adults)


Counselling Services are provided by the Improved Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) Team.


If you are over 18 years of age, you can book an appointment with the IAPT service directly by contacting them on 0114 226 4380 or you can register online by following the link below.


Appointments are also available on request after assessment by a GP or health care professional.


The  IAPT service runs a number of group sessions, one to one counselling and online services.

If you or a loved one is already receiving support from one of our services, and you are in a mental health crisis and need urgent help, please contact your Care Co-Ordinator straight away.


If your service is closed for the day or you do not currently receive support from one of our services and you need urgent help you can contact:

The helpline is running as a partnership between SCFT and Rethink Mental Illness. The mission of the Sheffield 24/7 under 18s helpline is to provide emotional support, advice and signposting for the children and young people of Sheffield. This service is run 365 days a year, including Christmas and bank holidays.


This helpline is funded to support children and young people living in Sheffield, and/or registered with GPs in this area. It covers all ages up to 18.

Sheffield Rethink Helpline


Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the Sheffield Rethink Helpline can offer advice to anyone struggling with their mental health.

Urgent Help

Mental Health Practitioners (Adult Mental Health)


We have employed Mental health Practitioners who work at Lodge Moor Surgery. They are able to provide support for patients with ongoing mental health conditions.


Appointments are available by referral from your General Practitioner.

Counselling Services (Children & Adolescents)


We have employed Door 43 mental health and well-being practitioners to help provide support for children, adolescents and young adults between the ages of 13-25.


You can be booked in to an appointment with them via one of our Gps.
